Known as a labyrinth of luxury high-rises and deluxe shopping malls, the United Arab Emirates might not seem like the ideal destination for the average outdoorsman or the off-roader. Take heed, adventure travelers; just because you chose to live it up at a seven star hotel, doesn't mean you must eat caviar by the pool all day. (Or at least not every day.)
In the UAE, you can find yourself white knuckling the steering wheel of a Formula One race car or careening down mile-high sand dunes in a 4x4 jeep. Remember, almost anything is possible here, even snow skiing in the summer. So kick off your Jimmy Choos, strap on your hiking boots, and get ready to explore.justify;"

Day 02 Dubai - Ras Al Khaimah, Mountain track crossing the Musandam Peninsula
The tour brings you along the coast to the Northern Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. Continue through Wadi Bih with its steep walls of rock and reach a track that winds up the mountain disclosing deep gorges at a height of some 1200 mtr. Pass tribal settlements and enjoy the breathtaking scenery with fascinating cliffs and deep canyons before reaching the coastal plain at the old town of Dibba. Drive along the coast passing fishing villages and reach Khor Fakkan. Overnight in the East Coast
Day 03 Khorfakkan – Hatta
The first stop is the Wadi with its manmade dam behind Khorfakkan. Continue along the coast passing through Fujairah to the Natural Reserve with the Kalba mangroves, the only breeding place for the White Collared Kingfisher, a bird in danger of extinction. Enter a wadi track and stop at Ayn Al Ghamoor to view the hot springs with sulphurous water. Pass small mountain villages, some of them belonging to Oman and reach the mountain oasis Hatta. Overnight in Hatta
Day 04 Hatta-Al Ain
Visit the Heritage Village of Hatta, an open-air museum. Then continue to the famous natural pool in Wadi Khamees. Proceed through wadis and small villages. Admire the unique rock formations, gorges and water streams before reaching the oases of Mahda and Khutwa. Marvel at natural gorges filled with water all year round and with small waterfalls. Overnight in Al Ain
Day 05 Al Ain – Liwa Desert
Today the tour follows an old Bedouin trail from the oasis of Al Ain to the Liwa desert. The Liwa area is the outskirts of Rub Al Khali, the magnificent sand desert of the Arabian Peninsula. This area was home of the original tribes who settled on the Abu Dhabi island in the 18th Century. En route we pass salt flats and spectacular red coloured sand dunes, a fascinating scenery for photographs.
We depart from Liwa in time to reach the Dubai desert to enjoy an unforgettable sunset. Arrive at our campsite where you have opportunity to do camel riding, sand boarding and try out a henna design on hands or feet. Enjoy a delicious barbecue dinner and a shisha (Arabic water pipe). Watch our belly dancer performing her show around the campfire by starlight. Pitch the tent beneath the star studded sky and sleep the dreams of the desert. Ovenright camping in the desert.
Day 06 Dubai Desert
Wake up to enjoy a magnificent sunrise.
After breakfast at our campsite, the drive continues through the desert to a rock formation hidden in the middle of the amazing red sand dunes called camel rock. Drive to your hotel for extension of stay or home bound departure.
